Bigboys is excited to announce that we are working with ANDYSMANCLUB, a men's suicide prevention charity dedicated to ending the stigma surrounding men's mental health. Donations to ANDYSMANCLUB #ITSOKTOTALK campaign will be used to continue to offer free to attend peer-to-peer support across the United Kingdom.
WHO ARE THEY?
ANDYSMANCLUB was set up in 2016 when nine men met to help each other with their mental health. The charity was named after Andrew Roberts who sadly took his own life at the age of 23. His family were not aware that Andy was struggling and as a result looked deeper into male suicide and men's mental health.
WHO DO THEY HELP?
With 130 locations across the UK and 3,000 men using the service each week, ANDYSMANCLUB offers a judgement free, safe and confidential space where men can be open about the difficulties they are encountering in their lives.
WHY ARE WE SUPPORTING ANDYSMANCLUB?
Suicide is the largest cause of death for men under the age of 50; three times as many men as women die by suicide and are less likely to ask for help or express how they are feeling.
ANDYSMANCLUB provides an atmosphere of support and understanding which enables men to realise they are not alone. Bigboys is inspired by the work of ANDYSMANCLUB to provide support to #ThatOneMan in his time of need to help him see that his tomorrow can be better than his today.
